About Michael:

I received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Rockhurst College. From there, I went to Europe for a while, found my passion, and came back to the States to study the Biology of the plant world.

I utilized this knowledge in two venues: one was conducting hands on field biology research in the area of Plant Protection. The knowledge that was required at the onset, and to continually gain throughout over twenty years was in the areas of botany, mycology, bacteriology, virology, plant physiology, agronomy, horticulture, entomology, nematology, chemistry, vertebrate & invertebrate zoology, and farming. These skills were utilized to obtain information regarding new candidate molecules efficacy and safety. During this time, I have traveled overseas extensively.

After the twenty-plus years of doing this, I established an organic vegetable farm in south florida, a most difficult climate for such an effort. During this time, I utilized all of the knowledge and experience that I had gained over the years to be successful in this undertaking.

I have given presentations to customer groups, given presentations at professional meetings, and have published research papers in referred journals.

My strengths are in general biology, leaning heavily toward the fauna side; although I have working knowledge of dealing with invertebrate/vertebrate zoology.

Also,I have written vast numbers of technical and narrative reports.Language arts skills were very important.

I am certified by WyzAnt in the following subjects: American History, World History, Biology, English, Grammar, Literature, Proofreading, Vocabulary, Public Speaking, Botany, Zoology, and the GED.

I have a love of making difficult material understandable and relevant to others.
